Designer Kathryn Balint started KB and Friends in March 2006. Her venture into digital scrapbooking career began in 1997, years before she discovered the online digiscrapping community. Kathryn is a former member of the Scrapbook-Bytes design team. Some of her layouts can be seen in The Joy of Scrapbooking.

 

In August 2008, Kathryn founded CropMom, an online scrapbooking site that makes it easy for anyone to create digital scrapbook layouts. Kathryn is president and CEO of CropMom Corporation, which operates both KB and Friends and CropMom.

After retiring from teaching sixth grade, Velma Balint joined her daughter, Kathryn, in her digital scrapbooking venture. She became interested in making digital scrapbooking photo books for friends then branched out into designing kits.

 

Velma is on the board of directors of CropMom Corporation and continues to design scrapbook kits with her daughter. She lives in San Diego.
